For over 100 years, the Shasta Union High School District has been committed to providing a quality education to students in the greater Redding area. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to fulfill our mission of Educating Every Student for Success.

 

From Advanced Placement and Honors classes to targeted intervention courses, we offer a wide range of academic opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. In addition to rigorous academic offerings, our schools provide comprehensive programs in the performing and fine arts, as well as Career Technical Education (CTE) courses that give students practical, real-world experience.

 

Athletically, our schools proudly compete in the highly competitive Eastern Athletic League (EAL) alongside other top-tier comprehensive high schools in the region. Our student-athletes are supported in reaching their full potential, with many continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level. We embrace the principles of Pursuing Victory with Honor, as promoted by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).

 

Outside the classroom, our students are actively involved in enriching extracurricular programs from Science Teams and Future Farmers of America (FFA) to Key Clubs and more. These activities help students develop leadership, responsibility, and community engagement which are key traits of productive citizens.

 

No matter your student’s interests, I am confident we offer programs that will help them learn, connect, and grow. Research consistently shows a strong correlation between student involvement and academic success. Simply put, students who are involved in school activities tend to perform better in school.
