The Shasta Union High School District acts as the lead agency for the Indian Education program which is composed of six High Schools, as well as 11 K-8 School Districts. These 12 districts make
up the Shasta County Indian Education Consortium. April Carmelois our Indian Education Coordinator. April is assisted by the Indian Education Instructional Paraprofessional Rossana Roman. The Indian Ed office is located at Shasta Learning Center. The program’s primary goals are scholastic achievement, cultural

Peleen Boos Camp
P’Eleen Boos Indian Education Camp has been moved from the second week in June to August 6-10, 2007. All Native American Children from Shasta County are eligible to attend. From Grades K( 1/2 Day Campers)-1st-6th graders (overnight campers).

Join us for the annual Cultural Dinner and Gathering to Honor Native American Graduates
When: Wednesday, May 31, 2006, Where: Win River Casino’s “Eagle Room”, Time 6-8 p.m.
All graduates will be honored. Special recognition will be given to those with good attendance, 3.0 GPA and above, Special Honors for Community Service. Dinner will be served. DEADLINE May 14 ,2007
